Abbots Leigh, Ham Green, Pill and Easton-in-Gordano Neighbourhood Plan consultation on submitted Neighbourhood Plan

Pill poster imageThe two Parish Councils of Abbots Leigh, and Pill & Easton-in-Gordano have prepared a Neighbourhood Plan to cover the combined parish council areas. Anyone who has an interest in the Plan can make comments from 1 February to 5pm on Monday 15 March

  • You can view the Plan and make comments at the same time online
(although the layout of the Plan looks a bit different the content is the same)
  • You can also view the Plan and the other documents below and then email any comments you have to planning.policy@n-somerset.gov.uk.

You may already have commented on the Plan during it's preparation by the Parish Councils and it may or may not have changed as a result. This is the final chance to have your say on the Plan however before it goes to examination. All comments received during the consultation will be forwarded to the examiner to take into account during his/her scrutiny of the Plan.

The Plan was submitted to North Somerset Council on 2 November 2020 so that an independent examiner can be appointed to examine the Plan. The examiner will decide whether or not the plan meets the necessary basic conditions to become a Neighbourhood Plan. You can find out about basic conditions and the process of preparing a neighbourhood plan on the government website.

Affordable Housing site Chapel Pill Lane

The Neighbourhood Plan proposes to allocate a site for affordable housing at Chapel Pill Lane at Ham Green. The Neighbourhood Plan allocates the site in principal and leaves details to be considered through a planning application (see below). If you have any comments about the site being allocated in principle for affordable housing then you can do this by commenting on the Neighbourhood Plan as above by 5pm on Monday 15 March.

At the same time the Community Land Trust/Alliance Homes have also been asking for views on a proposed detailed scheme for affordable housing on this site with the intention of submitting a planning application in due course.  Details are on the Alliance Homes  website and if you have any comments to make about the detailed proposals then the last date for comment is 5 February.
