The reference to renewable energy solutions within residential developments is welcomed by
the HCA. We also welcome reference within criteria 3 to sustainable construction and Code
for Sustainable Homes. The HCA also supports the recognition (Criteria 8), that the re-use of
previously developed land and existing buildings is built out in preference to the loss of green
field sites.
The HCA does however recommend that further cross reference is made to Policy CS2 which
includes the detailed requirements for realising the above principles.
