Whilst we support the need for adequate off-street parking to be provided in new developments in principle, we do not consider that expressly seeking to: 'maximise off street [parking] provision' is appropriate. It would, however, be reasonable to acknowledge within the Strategy that there are parking issues in parts of the District and to state that appropriate provision should therefore be
provided (to be assessed through the Development Management process).
